Dubai’s J1 Beach has unveiled its latest jewel—Sirene by GAIA, a beach club redefining luxury and sophistication. Spanning an impressive 9,000 square meters, Sirene is a landmark in Fundamental Hospitality’s ambitious global expansion. But beyond its grandeur, what makes Sirene truly special is the immersive experience it offers, where Mediterranean charm meets cutting-edge lighting technology.

The vision behind Sirene came to life under the guidance of industry pioneers Evgeny Kuzin and Chef Izu Ani, with design mastery by London-based studio ‘First Within’, led by Richard Saunders. Their concept was simple yet profound: create a space that seamlessly blends vibrant energy with serene relaxation, where guests transition effortlessly from one atmosphere to another. Achieving this required meticulous attention to detail—not just in architecture and interiors but in the very way the environment is illuminated.
This is where Creation Gulf played a pivotal role, tasked with delivering an intuitive, scalable lighting control system that harmonized with Sirene’s refined aesthetic. Having previously collaborated with the client on different projects, the team understood the client’s need for flexibility and precision. A seamless user experience was paramount, ensuring that staff could control lighting across various zones effortlessly.

Building on a history of successful collaborations, the team deployed Mode Lighting products for the system. A standout feature of which, was the integration of a 10-inch touchscreen interface, transforming lighting control into an intuitive, dynamic process. Mr. Dharmendra Patel, Managing Director of Creation Gulf, emphasized the impact of this innovation, highlighting how it simplified user interaction, granting different levels of access while eliminating the need for extensive programming.
Every space within Sirene tells a different story through its lighting. At dawn, the ambience is bright and invigorating, complementing the daytime activities. As the sun sets, the lights shift to warm hues, mirroring the golden tones of the sky. The dinner setting embraces a softer, more intimate glow, while the late-night ambience invites guests to unwind under subtly dimmed lights. These seamless transitions create an experience that flows naturally with the rhythm of the day.
However, bringing this vision to life was no simple feat. The installation phase presented unexpected challenges, from wiring rectifications to meeting strict pre-opening deadlines. Yet, through unwavering dedication and meticulous planning, Team Creation overcame every obstacle, ensuring the system was flawless in time for the grand opening. Mr. Patel reflected on this journey stating, “Our commitment to excellence meant addressing unforeseen issues promptly, ensuring that Sirene was ready for its guests without compromising on quality.”
Beyond aesthetics, the technology deployed at Sirene ensures long-term operational efficiency. With remote updates and app-controlled access, the lighting system remains adaptable to future needs, allowing seamless modifications without on-site intervention
