When we first installed the lighting control system at Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, fourteen years ago, the goal was simple: to create an intuitive experience that blended seamlessly with the resort’s natural charm. Over a decade later, when Anantara approached us again to modernize the system, we knew the challenge wasn’t just about upgrading technology—it was about preserving what made it special in the first place.
With capacitive touch keypads and a future-ready setup, we’ve enhanced usability without changing the essence of the experience. It’s always rewarding to see our work stand the test of time, and even more so when clients trust us to evolve it.

Perched on the sands of Sir Bani Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, Anantara Sir Bani Yas has long been a retreat where nature and luxury coexist in perfect harmony. Fourteen years ago, Creation installed the resort’s original lighting control system, a foundation that has stood the test of time. Now, as technology advances and guest expectations evolve, Anantara sought to modernize its system—seamlessly, without disrupting the tranquility that defines the resort. Entrusted once again with this transformation, Creation was tasked with preserving the essence of the original system while introducing enhancements that elevate the guest experience.

The challenge was clear: implement a system that embraces the latest technology, ensures long-term reliability, and requires no intrusive rewiring. Initially brought on board for supply, testing, and commissioning, Creation’s role soon expanded to include installation to ensure a smooth project execution.
With a tight three-month timeline, the team worked with precision, deploying Mode Lighting solutions—the same trusted brand used in the original installation but with the addition of capacitive touch keypads that enhance ease of use through intuitive labels such as “Table Light,” “Master,” “Entrance,” and “Courtyard,” ensuring effortless control for guests and staff alike. “The new capacitive touch controls simplify operation for both guests and staff, which was exactly what the property needed from this refresh,” reflects Mr. Dharmendra Patel, Managing Director, Creation Gulf.

With the potential for Wi-Fi integration and app-based controls, the new system can evolve alongside the resort’s needs moving into the future, offering guests personalized control at their fingertips.
